Alpenland Ski & Cycle has been a Lethbridge icon in Southern Alberta for over 40 years with excellent service and quality outdoor sport equipment and apparel. Our team is made up of passionate ski & bike enthusiasts that love the outdoors, and we are seeking Full-Time & Part-Time Service Shop Technicians to join our team at our Lethbridge, AB location.

As the outdoor sports industry continues to expand and innovate, we are seeking candidates that are looking for opportunities to develop their experience and knowledge in the bike industry as part of our Service Shop operations. This seasonal role will offer opportunities for growth and potential permanent employment on our team for right candidate, along with access to the industry’s best products and services. The Service Shop Technician is responsible for servicing bikes and equipment in a professional manner, and their daily responsibilities will include the following: 

  • Writing up work orders and receiving bikes and equipment for service
  • Servicing bikes as per ability and experience (Previous experience favored but not required)
  • Processing completed work orders for finished service and repair work
  • Staying up-to-date on industry and product knowledge
  • Participating in Product Knowledge & Training events
  • Answering customer questions regarding products and services
  • Accepting payments on our Point of Sale system and handling returns and exchanges if needed
  • Serving customers in our Rental Shop
  • Ensuring guests have a professional and memorable experience
  • Assisting with receiving and tagging new products and inventory as needed
  • Assisting the Leadership team with any other additional tasks pertaining to the Service Shop, Rentals, and Retail space 

All applicants should have strong customer service skills, with a willingness to learn and grow. The ideal candidate is passionate about their sport, and is also excited to contribute and be a part of our Service Shop team. Additional requirements include:

  • Having a valid driver’s license (occasional driving may be required)
  • Ability to take initiative and is a self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous Ski & Bike industry experience is an asset
  • Valid Industry related certifications will also be favored
