Alpenland's COVID Response

We're still open for walk-in shopping, with restrictions.

With the announcements made by our Provincial Government, our leadership team has decided to begin implementing new policies and procedures for all Alpenland locations. We understand that circumstances look different for everyone, and so in order to serve all visitors with the highest level of safety in mind we are currently implementing the following:

The following has been implemented for all Alpenland locations:

  • Face coverings are mandatory and provided at the door to enter any Retail or Rental spaces.

  • Capacity is limited, indicated by signage at all entrances.

  • Sanitization is required upon entry and prior to handling merchandise via distributed sanitization stations

We understand that some visitors may not be able to wear a face covering for various reasons - in these circumstances, we ask that you consider shopping via our online web-store or calling in to have us assist you - we are happy to process transactions over the phone and can walk out your items to your vehicle.

Boot Fitting

We know that brining in the family for a boot fit is an adventure that makes the Alpenland experience special. Unlike previous years, we are now requesting that family's and groups limit the size of their party as much as possible. If you aren't getting fitted, we ask that you stay home in order to help keep our store capacity down for other shoppers.

We have installed plexiglass separators in order to provide isolated bench spaces as well - sanitization is used prior to boot fitting, and we ask that customers do not touch the boots until one has been selected and prepared for heat moulding.


In order to continue operating our Rental Shops at the increased capacities we have begun to see, we are now offering a new Online Rental Booking system. Our rental shops operate with this system to save renter information, collect waiver signatures, and to process payment prior to your visit so that your equipment pick-up is faster with less contact points.

We ask all Rental customers to take the time prior to their visit to pre-register rentals and to process payment. If given enough notice, we can prepare your rental in advance so that you can get to your adventure quickly and safely. Please note that footwear cannot be left in our rental spaces, and must be stored in your vehicle.

Our Staff Team

With our valuable hard-working team, we've been able to maintain our store operations through-out this pandemic and are committed to keeping them safe and healthy to the best of our ability. The restrictions that are in place are not only for the safety of those around you during your visit, but also for the team that serves you and the many customers that visit all our Alpenland locations. When visiting you can expect to see us sanitizing our front counter space, disinfecting debit machines, and sanitizing our hands regularly.
