Job Title: Marketing and Web Operations Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing and Web Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong background in eCommerce, digital marketing, and web operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of our online presence, enhancing brand visibility, and engaging with our customers effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Web Store Management:

  • Develop and maintain web-based store operations, including digital POS, Rental, and Service Shop systems
  • Oversee and direct the operations of our eCommerce platform, alpenland.ca, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Updating website with important information including:
  • Sales & Marketing promotions, Site Banners, Graphics
  • Maintain products special pricing, sales categories, and items
  • Maintain store policies, store hours (as per season and per guidance of business team)
  • Product/Inventory Management
  • Maintain “eSync API” connection, performing maintenance, and ensuring pricing and inventory are accurately displayed online (MSRP compliance)
  • Updating & Adding New products and enabling shop-ability on web store
  • Mailing and improve product catalogue and categories
  • Archiving discontinued products to maintain SEO Ranking.
  • Maintain Google product Feed
  • Take directions from Business Management Team on special promotions and products as needed for the prioritization on the website
  • Web Sales, Customer Service, and Shipments
  • Answering phone inquiries on product availability & shipping quotes
  • Providing custom shipping quotes for heavy and oversize items
  • Approving returns and exchanges; processing exchanges and issuing credits or refunds as necessary
  • Answering website “Contact Us” email inquiries: sales inquires, order shipment updates, and general questions on availability
  • Retail sales as needed over the phone, or processed through the webstore
  • Order Fulfillment
  • Picking, packing, and labelling orders for shipment - Working with Canada Post /

ClickShip / and other shipment tools and applications to process shipment labels

  • Maintaining and updating shipping policies and parameter using the “ShipperHQ” application in BigCommerce, and on website as per Business Management Team
  • Manage website and cart level promotions, shipping subsidies, and manage all website/

POS integrations as they pertain to the Web Store and online availability

  • Manage all website/POS integration as they pertain to the Web Store and online availability
  • Provide direction and training to designated staff to assist with Web Order Fulfillment as needed

Marketing:

  • Develop strategic marketing content for our company website, social media platforms, and digital advertising campaigns
  • Create and execute engaging radio advertisements for local stations to effectively reach target audiences and increase brand visibility
  • Craft compelling print advertisements for newsletters and magazines to showcase the brand to a diverse readership
  • Collaborate closely with an external agency managing Google Ads to develop and implement data-driven campaigns, ultimately driving higher conversion rates and ROI
  • Lead contract negotiations and agreements with software providers, radio stations, and other key business collaborators to ensure seamless partnerships and mutually beneficial outcomes

Additional Responsibilities:
Castle Mountain Resort rental Software Monitoring

  • Monitor the rental software remotely to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Utilize remote software tools and applications to access and assess rental system performance
  • Collaborate with software provider

Issue detection and diagnosis

  • Collaborate with on-site staff to investigate and resolve software-related problems promptly

Data Analysis

  • Analyze rental data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement

Remote Support

  • Provide remote support to on-site staff in real-time when issues arise
  • Escalate complex software issues to the vendor when necessary

Requirements:

  • A relevant Post Secondary Education (business, management, or marketing)
  • Proven experience in managing and optimizing eCommerce operations
  • Familiarity with e-commerce and POS platforms, preferably Bigcommerce and Lightspeed
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and update an eCommerce website, including sales promotions, graphics, and product listings
  • Capability to prioritize and implement special promotions and product updates.
  • Strong customer service skills, including handling phone inquiries and addressing website inquiries
  • Ability to process returns, exchanges, and issue credits or refunds when necessary
  • Proven track record in developing and executing digital marketing strategies
  • Experience in creating engaging radio and print advertisements
  • Ability to provide direction and training to staff involved in web order fulfillment
  • Familiarity with various software tools and applications related to web operations and marketing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) is considered an asset
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS is considered an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
