Gift Certificates
Validity Period
In compliance with Alberta legislation, gift certificates do not have any expiration date. This voucher is valid for as long as a balance remains on the certificate/account.
Redemption
This certificate may be redeemed for any product offered by Alpenland Ski & Sport for the price of the product at the time of redemption, subject to stock availability. Redeemable only online at www.alpenland.ca. To redeem, enter the code online at www.alpenland.ca.
Non-Refundable
This Gift Certificate cannot be returned or exchanged for cash. This certificate is not refundable and cannot be returned or redeemed for cash or credit. All sales of gift certificates are final and cannot be exchanged for other merchandise. No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of this gift certificate’s value.
Non-Transferrable
This Gift Certificate is to be used only by the individual to whom it is issued/purchased for. Transfer or resale of this certificate is strictly prohibited.
Lost or Stolen Certificates
Alpenland Ski & Sport is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Certificates. We are not liable for any certificates that are lost, stolen, destroyed, or used without permission. The issuer holds no responsibility for certificates that are lost or pilfered, and such certificates will not be replaced.
Remaining Balance
Any unused balance will not be returned or credited. No cashback will be given if the purchase amount is less than the value of the Gift Certificate. Should the total cost of your purchase exceed the gift certificate’s value, you will be required to cover the difference with an alternative payment method.
Exclusions
This certificate cannot be used to purchase other gift cards/certificates.
Cancellation
Alpenland Ski & Sport reserves the right to cancel this certificate if necessary due to circumstances beyond our control. Alpenland Ski & Sport reserves the right to cancel any Gift Certificate obtained fraudulently. We reserve the right to cancel this certificate for any misuse or violation of terms. Certificates may be voided by Alpenland Ski & Sport if any alterations or unauthorized endorsements are detected. In the event of a business closure or transition, outstanding certificates may be subject to cancellation.
Modification of Terms
Alpenland Ski & Sport can change the terms and conditions of the Gift Certificate at any time without prior notice. The issuer retains the right to update the certificate’s terms and conditions, which will take immediate effect upon publishing online. Please review our website regularly as the terms of this certificate may be revised without direct notification to holders. Adjustments to the terms herein may occur, and continued use of this certificate constitutes acceptance of such changes.

Payment Processing
When Payment is Due
Payment is due at the time of purchase for in-store purchases. Payment for online orders is captured upon fulfillment of the order. If Afterpay is chosen as the method of payment, a portion is paid right away followed by 3 additional payments made every 2 weeks, totaling a 6 week span for the payment plan.
Accepted Forms of Payment
Our accepted forms of payment are: Cash, Debit, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, and Afterpay
Late Payment Penalties
All payment plans are through third-party companies and late payments are determined by said companies. Any issues with payment regarding a financing plan should be directed to the third-party company.

Payment Authorization / Awaiting Payment Status
When new orders are placed, you can expect to see your order status starting in "Awaiting Payment" - this means that you have authorized the payment with your payment method, and we have not yet captured payment. We will only capture payment once the order has been prepared in full for shipment. Should a cancellation be required prior to order processing, we can "Void" the authorization, which returns funds back to your payment method almost immediately (We generally like to advise that it will take up to 2 business days. Just in case there is a delay with the related financial institution.)

Pricing Accuracy
- We make every effort to ensure that product prices displayed on our website are accurate and up to date.
- In the rare event that a pricing error occurs, such as a discrepancy between the listed price and the actual price at checkout, we reserve the right to correct the error before accepting the order.
Notification of Pricing Error
- If a pricing error is identified, we will promptly notify affected customers via email or phone.
- The notification will include details of the error, the correct price, and options available to the customer.
Order Adjustments
If an order has been placed at an incorrect price due to a pricing error, we may, at our discretion, take one of the following actions:
- Offer to cancel the order and provide a full refund.
- Provide the option to proceed with the order at the corrected price.
We will communicate these options clearly to the customer and respect their decision.

Alpenland Ski & Sports will not lease, sell or distribute your personal information to any third parties, unless we have your permission. However, we reserve the right to do so if the law forces us.
Return / Cancellation Policy
Our return policy is for credit or an exchange only* **
In order to be eligible for a return a return authorization must be approved within 14 business days of the purchase. The item(s) must be returned in the same condition as received and undamaged in any way. Return shipping will be at the purchaser’s expense. Once received, the item(s) will be inspected and depending on condition a re-stocking fee may be applied. If the item(s) are damaged as to be unsellable it will not be excepted for credit or exchange and will be sent back at purchaser’s expense.
Customer wishing to cancel an order must do so within 24-48hrs of purchase, please email info@alpenland.ca or call 403-329-6099 for immediate assistance. Most orders are processed within 24-48hrs. Orders cancelled before processing will be fully refunded. If an order is cancelled after processing but before shipping a 5% processing fee will be applied to the refund.
If anything is unclear or you have more questions feel free to contact us. If an order has been cancelled or a refund has been issued, you can expect to see funds returned to you within 5 - 10 business days. In most cases, funds are returned much quicker. Shipping costs are non-refundable, so please ensure that sizing and fit has been considered prior to placing an order.
*Orders errors deemed to be the fault of Alpenland are eligible for full refund or exchange at no charge to the customer including all return shipping costs. Item(s) returned must be in original received condition to be eligible for refund.
**If orders are approved for a refund, a 10% processing fee applied to the refund. Item(s) returned must be in original received condition to be eligible for refund. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
Rental / Test Ride Policy
Disclaimer For Test Rides and Rentals
There are risks associated with the use of any bike which cannot be predicted or avoided, and these risks are the sole responsibility of the rider. You are responsible for your own actions while using a bike. Alpenland Ski & Sports is not responsible or liable for any accidents or injuries (whether caused by you or others) that may occur during your use. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider to determine if your current insurance policy covers you in the event of an accident.
Assumption of Risk, Waiver and Release Agreement
In order to use the property, facilities, and services of Alpenland Ski & Sports, I agree for myself and (if applicable) for the members of my family, to the following:
- Voluntary Participation: I hereby request to test ride or rent a bicycle from Alpenland Ski & Sports. I acknowledge that I have been advised to wear an approved helmet. I acknowledge that I have been advised to wear a full-face helmet and other protective equipment such as elbow/ forearm and knee/shin armor when free riding or down hilling. Wearing an approved helmet while cycling/electric cycling may be mandatory under provincial law. I am aware that cycling/electric cycling is subject to all applicable municipal and provincial highway traffic regulations. I am familiar with the proper use of the equipment, including all quick release mechanisms, brakes, and gear shifters. I am aware that there are technicians available to answer any questions that I may have as to the proper use of the equipment.
- Assumption of Risk: I understand and accept that riding this bicycle and participating in cycling/electric cycling exposes me to many hazards and entails unavoidable risk of death, personal injury (including but not limited to severe spinal or head injury) and loss of or damage to property. I also understand I should be in good physical health to participate in cycling/electric cycling. I choose to participate in cycling/electric cycling in spite of these risks and hereby assume all risk of injury or loss of life to myself and loss of or damage to property arising out of renting this bicycle and participating in cycling/electric cycling.
- Conduct of Rider: I agree to ride the Bike in compliance with all traffic laws and will exercise care to ensure the safe operation of the bicycle. I agree not to perform stunts, or to attempt any “trick” riding during the test drive or rental.
- Bike Return: Rider agrees to return the Bike to Alpenland Ski & Sports in the same condition as received, except for ordinary wear and tear, on the time and at the location specified by Alpenland Ski & Sports.
- Damage to Bike: Rider shall pay Alpenland Ski & Sports for all losses and/or damage to the Bike, regardless of fault (e.g. Rider agrees to pay for the loss even though someone else caused the damage or is at fault). Rider is also responsible for all theft or vandalism losses, even if Rider is not at fault for making the theft or vandalism possible. If the Bike is damaged, Rider agrees to pay the reasonable costs of repair or the retail fair market value less any salvage value if applicable.
- Release / Indemnification: In consideration for being premised by Alpenland Ski & Sports to rent or ride a bike, I promise to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Alpenland Ski & Sports against any and all claims to which this agreement applies, including claims for their own negligence, as well as apply this indemnification clause to any loss or personal injury to any third party resulting from my participation in any use of Alpenland Ski & Sports demo or rented Bikes. I have carefully read and understand the above. I understand this is an assumption of risk, waiver and release of liability and I sign it voluntarily. I also understand that I should not and may not participate in this activity if I am under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Shipping Policy
Order Processing
Please allow 1-2 days to process and fulfill your order. If there is an issue with the order the customer will be updated on the situation. If an error occurs, the time to process the order may be delayed. Expect an email upon fulfillment to let you know your order is on the way!
Store Pickup
Orders can be picked up daily, within store operating hours. An email will be sent when your order is ready for pickup.
Local Delivery for Bike Purchases
During checkout, enter your address and choose the pickup option. Local delivery is available for addresses within 200KM of our shop. This service is only applicable to bike purchases. If you believe the desination falls within the 200KM, place the order via pickup and then call us. Additionally, when completing checkout, leave a comment on the order stating "local delivery within 200KM" or a phrase of that nature. From there we will deliver the product to you as soon as possible. When your order is ready for delivery, you will receive a call from us stating we are ready to deliver. If the call goes unanswered an email will be sent to try to find a time that allows the buyer to be present at the destination to receive the product. Upon delivery bike setup will also be completed unless customer states otherwise.
Flat Rate Shipping
Orders are generally shipped within 5-14 days. Multiple couriers are avilable when shipping. However, the cheapest option will always be selected unless the customer has specified a want for express shipping or other. The charges for express shipping or any beyond the lowest rate are to be paid for by the customer. Additionally, we do not ship outside of Canada at this current time. For orders over $500 a signature will be required to receive the package to prevent any potential theft. Maritime Provinces, Territories and Rural areas are subject to increased shipping rates, and therefore may require additional payment as per our discretion.
Domestic Shipping Rates
- Base Rate = $19.99 (Qualifies for free shipping if order is over or equal to $150)
- Oversized Rate = $25.00 (Applies to large items)
- Heavy Rate = $199.99 (Applies to large / heavy items)
- Sale Rate = $19.99 (Qualifies for free shipping if order is over or equal to $150)
*Items are categorized as oversized or heavy per Alpenlands discretion, as such Alpenland reserves the right to request additional payment to better cover shipping cost on any orders for items that are considered oversized or heavy. This includes but is not limited to, skis, snowboards, water skis, wake boards, wake surfs, all bikes, cargo carriers, on vehicle bike racks. Items which fall into these categories that show an option for shipping other than the Oversize Flat Rate ($25.00) or Oversized Heavy item flat rate ($199.99) will not be processed and a payment request for the Oversize Flat Rate ($25.00) or Oversized Heavy item flat rate ($199.99) will be sent.
Shipping Insurance
A third-party shipping insurance is provided via Route Package Protection and is automatically applied to all orders. This is optional and can be toggled off at check out. Any insurance claims must be made via the Route Package Protection website or app and are not the responsibility of Alpenland. Steps to put in a claim can be found here --> https://shoppers.help.route.com/hc/en-us/articles/6027109569943-How-to-file-a-claim. Route Package Protection shipping insurance can be removed after the order is placed prior to shipment but must be done immediately after the order is placed otherwise it may not be able to be removed. Please reach out to us as soon as possible if you do not want this shipping insurance option. We are happy to provide quotes for other insurance options. All orders set to in-store pick up will automatically have the Route Package Protection removed from the order.
