Forging Process: Forging is a technique where a raw material slug is compressed into the desired shape using press tooling. The resulting parts are extremely strong due to the metal’s grain structure aligning with the geometry. While some aspects of the part still require machining (such as threads and high-tolerance faces), forging is generally quicker and produces less waste compared to CNC machining. Chromag’s forged parts are also cost-effective.
